CAMP ACTIVITIES

At Element YMCA Camp, you can skate the day away, or take advantage of the wide range of activities.
Some of the top programming includes:

THE BRILLIANT SEQUOIA LAKE
Launch off a ramp into the lake, go boating in the Element canoe, or have a swim watched over by a certified lifeguard. Fishing is also available with provided tackle.

ELEMENTAL AWARENESS
Learn the basics of wilderness survival (shelter, water, fire, food). Through these ancient skills, campers will learn to be more aware of the world they live in and take home knowledge hard to acquire elsewhere.

CREATEASKATE FACTORY
Make your own mini skateboard. Learn the process from start to finish with professional equipment and instruction.

SKATEBOARDING INSTRUCTION
If you are just getting started or an advanced skater, this program will give you the guidance needed to take your skating to the next level.

DIGITAL MAGAZINE CLASS
Work with a group to take photos, interview pro's, layout, and produce a small magazine available for download to all campers at the end of the week.

GUITAR WORKSHOP
Campers learn to play guitar and refine their skills, finishing with a group performance at campfire.

CAMPFIRE
Staff and campers alike collaborate in live performances that is funny and heartwarming, full of cabin skits, music, and comedy acts.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
Every week a new guest visits camp to share their intriguing story. Speakers include Element team riders, artists, activists and more, all with a unique and inspiring tale.

ROCK CLIMBING
Test your strength and endurance on the rock climbing wall where you can take an entry level route guided by trained staff, or push your limits with race to the summit. Gear and instruction supplied.

HIGH ROPES COURSE
The high-ropes course invites you to climb between the giant trees while completing a series of challenges. A truly amazing experience led by trained staff, ensuring safety with both equipment and guidance.

NO BOARD LEFT BEHIND
Breathe new life into an old board. We take dilapidated decks and cut them into shape, giving each one a second chance to hit the streets.
